Miramar, FL was founded in 1955 and is today the 5th largest city in Broward County in terms of population. Miramar has grown fast over the past 10 years, becoming a preferred location for major corporations, small and mid-sized businesses, due to its central location in Broward County with quick access to Miami. Miramar also provides great health care with a Memorial Hospital in its western part of town, a new city hall and cultural center with events all year around. On Pembroke Road the overpass over I-75 will be opened by July 2016 and makes the commute from west to east even easier with an additional traffic artery available for commuters. Miramar offers a variety of housing from condos, town houses to mid-sized and upscale single family homes in gated communities in the western part of town. Miramar was named in 2006 and 2008 among the "Top 100 Of America's Best Places To Live" by Money Magazine.
